Students are given occupational training in the workshop. They are trained to make all types of files, paper bowls, plates, bags, screen printing, paper flowers and artificial flowers, clothes bags and purses etc. These students do internships for various companies and such work makes them skilled.
These Students have to work under the supervision of teachers as they cannot work independently.
K. Wagh college gives order for it’s entire office files for every year. Big organisation like ABB regularly outsource their industrial job work. Also they order papad for their canteen made by Prabodhini students. There are continuous demands for artificial flower bouquets from industries, offices and clubs. Prabodhini participates in various exhibitions and make decent business of the craft products made in the workshops.
Along with age, their physical strength increases and hence the behavioural problems too ! Only keeping them busy helps us to control the behavioural problem to some extent. They are given occupational training considering their physical, mental and intelligence limitations. Students are given remuneration for making Diwali greetings, lanterns, coloured earthen lamps, and Diwali snacks. All these items are always in demand.
Many students are working as a full time employees in various companies as their regular employees.
We are grateful these industries for giving our students opportunities so that they can live normal life in a society.
