Achievements

Ministry of Social Justice and Reform had allowed certain institutes in India to carry out pilot projects for bringing disabled children into the education system. Prabodhini is included in these institutes. Prabodhini was awarded the honour of being an excellent institution in 2004.

Run of Recognition was organised to bring forth the problems of these special children. It was great success.

On the 23rd anniversary on 21st January 2000, Parents, teachers and students, lighted 2000 candles. Donation of newspapers plan was successfully carried out.

Awakening of the masses is still going on front the year 1992.

• Established in January 1977, first of its type in North Maharashtra
• Maharashtra state recognisation in 1982
• Own school building in 1986
• Nursery school in 1988
• Sheltered workshop building in satpur in 1993
• Teachers training center in 1996
• Prabodhini hostel for M. R. student and Agriculture project in 2001
• Presently about 350 students of different types of mental disability are on roll, participate in various activities
• About 100 teacher and non-teaching staff are giving dedicated & committed services to the trust. 47 of these employees get honorarium from the trust and remaining are Govt. employees
• The staff includes special teachers, Para-medical professionals, pediatrician, Speech therapist, Gynecologists and Honorary social workers
• Donations from Dr. Wani of Maharashtra Seva Samiti Organisation (MSSO), Calgary, Canada & Dr. Vijay Dave, USA, and Nashik Run Charitable trust in recognition of the trusts work and to support its new projects
